Instagramから突然英語メール、ユーザー困惑。

1～2日前からInstagramに登録されているメールアドレスにいきなり英文メールが届いて困惑した人が多数いるようだ。

メールの内容をざっくりいうと、Instagramはご存知のとおりFacebook参加の企業だが、規約上でそれをしっかり謳います(Facebookのポリシーも適用されます)よ、でも動画や写真データ(知的財産権)がポリシーの変更でFacebook側にどうにかされるのではなく、今後も今までと変わりらない。
Instagramにおける広告はある程度パーソナライズされているが、広告主にはユーザーの情報は一切伝えられていないし、それは今後も変わらない事を宣言した文書である。

おそらく、件のFacebookで収集された個人情報がアメリカ大統領選挙で流用された事を受けてのものだと思われる。

末尾のAgree(承認)ボタンを押しても、特に個人情報がどうにかなるなどの支障はないので安心してほしい。

ちなみに、同意しなかったらどうなるか?
おそらく同意がないと、Instagram側がユーザーから提供(投稿)されたデータを利用できない=Instagramが利用できなくなる可能性もある。
